Accreditation of the “energy law” area of research and creation of the Pau Droit Energie Consortium

Pau Droit Public has decided to create a research team dedicated to “energy law”, accredited by the French Ministry for Education and Research for the 2016-2020 period.

The new team, co-managed by Professors Philippe Terneyre and Denys de Béchillon, is composed of four other researchers-lecturers, a research engineer, a post-doctoral researcher and three PhD students. Pau Droit Public intends to dedicate a major share of its scientific production to this new discipline through publications, in particular collective works, study days, expertise and research partnerships.

The emergence of this new area of research will be supported by the creation of a partnership network capable of inspiring discussions and leading the dynamics of our region in the energy field, in particular in terms of energy transition, by bringing together both public and private players: the Pau Droit Energie Consortium.

The founding members include UPPA, the CDAPP, the City of Pau, the SDEPA, the SMTU, CHEMPARC, TIGF, GRDF, ENEDIS, EDF, VALOREM and the University of Laval. The network, which is intended to be open to all, aims to welcome any members who wish to take part in measures and projects led by this group of partners in the energy field.
